Good Morning Everyone,
We have a busy few weeks coming up - Here is some information to keep you in the loop. 1. This week we started our artifact building for Social Studies. Students prepared proposals that had to meet the requirement of "How does your artifact represent the effect of the event at that time / and now if possible". They will be building their artifacts into next week, and mist complete them at school by the 3rd. Our presentation is on the 6th 2. Chemistry is ending up with a cooking challenge! Kiddos have been given the challenge to prepare a food item that meets as many chemistry outcomes as possible. Our class cooking day is on the 30th of May, and we will present our food to Mr. Quon and Mrs. Austin the following day. OHS will be supplying the majority of the ingredients, however the specialized items would need to be supplied (ie. Special sprinkles). We are requesting that students bring their own containers to take their food home if there is some extra made. Most cooking utensils that are needed are going to be supplied by the teachers, however, those specialized items won't be available. If you are interested in supporting us during the morning on May 1st from 9:45-12:10 please send me an email - we could use 2/3 parents. 3. The Zoo Field trip is approaching! We will be going on Thursday May 30th all day. Forms will be coming home next week to sign. Payment was uploaded to powerschool already and many of you have already made the payment.
